Term 5 Primary School Update and National Cricket Week
With Term 6 of the academic year starting this week here is an update on our primary school delivery across Oxfordshire for Term 5. Below is also some information about this year’s National Cricket Week.
Our Impact in Term 5
- 8 Full School Programmes
- 14 Engagement days
- 4 KS1 Skill Festivals
- Unique participants – 1500+
What is a Whole School Programme?
- INSPIRE – Induction, Assembly and Celebration Event
- PLAY – Ideally 4 classes a day in a school for a half-term
- LEAD – Teacher CPD/Support and Playground Leaders (new offer)
- COMPETE – Personal Best, Intra and Inter-School Competition
- PATHWAY – Parent Engagement and community taster sessions
- LEARN – Encourage teachers to use classroom resources (no direct delivery expectation)
What is an Engagement Day, Includes:
- INSPIRE – Induction (portal sign-up) and Assembly
- PLAY – Ideally 4 Classes/Taster Sessions
- COMPETE – Intra-competition teacher guidance
- PATHWAY – Parent engagement

With a big summer of cricket coming up for both the men and women, we would love for your school to be involved with #NationalCricketWeek
There are some big prizes up for grabs for the week, and this is how you can get involved.
Can your school create or do any of the following?
- Create a poster about the Commonwealth Games?
- Create a #NationalCricketWeek board in your classroom
- Picture or video of a Cricket session using the Chance to Shine portal games
