Oxfordshire Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Murphy and Lesley Pykett to the roles of County Safeguarding Officers. These appointments will support our desire to strengthen our governance.
Lesley Pykett and Stuart Murphy are now employed (October 1st ) as the County Safeguarding Officers. Both have been loyal volunteers for the last four years. This supports our desire to place Safeguarding at the top of our agenda. Their remit will cover all cricket within Oxfordshire with the goal of ensuring that the game is safe for young and vulnerable people. This is a job share and both will attend Board meetings, they will report to Margaret Stevens whose Directorship expands to cover Safeguarding.

Stuart Murphy and Lesley Pykett, County Safeguarding Officers said:
‘We are both looking forward to continuing to maintain high standards of Safeguarding within Oxfordshire Cricket by working closely with Clubs to help ensure they meet the required ECB levels of compliance in a supportive manner.
We are both excited by the opportunity to come on board as part-time paid employees. This is a positive step taken by Oxfordshire Cricket to make Safeguarding a priority for all clubs in the County.
