We are delighted to announce that Oxfordshire Cricket has partnered with #HerGameToo to ensure clubs provide a safe space for women and girls and have robust protocols in place for reporting sexism and misogyny within the sport.
Oxfordshire Cricket is determined to create and encourage more welcoming and safe spaces for women and girls at cricket clubs, and as a result, every club entering our girl’s competitions this season will be provided with promotional material which includes QR codes which women and girls are able to scan to report issues at their club.
At #HerGameToo, it is their aim to work closely with our grassroots partners to ensure that clubs offer a safe and welcoming environment for all, as well as provide the means and opportunities to help women and girls get involved with cricket.
Ed Wilson, Cricket Development Manager at Oxfordshire Cricket said:
‘Women and Girls Cricket in Oxfordshire has seen significant growth in the last few years and making sure clubs create welcoming environments and provide safe spaces for women and girls to play, officiate, volunteer and socialise is important to ensure it keeps growing. This partnership is another key milestone for Oxfordshire Cricket. #HerGameToo already does great work up and down the county and I’m looking forward to working with them as they offer support to Oxfordshire clubs.’
Paige Caunce, #HerGameToo Cricket Lead Team member & Ambassador for Lancashire Cricket said:
