Oxfordshire Cricket can announce that David King has taken the decision to step down from his role as Commercial Director of OCB Ltd.
David was elected to the Board in December 2015, and has overseen the development and implementation of our marketing and communications strategy, as well as chaired the majority of our members meetings.
David King said:
“It has been a great honour to serve Oxfordshire Cricket as a Board Member and I am proud to have played a part in the successful development of the organisation. I have recently moved to West Sussex, pulling ahead a long term plan to relocate our family home from Oxfordshire and have also taken on significant additional work responsibilities, meaning that it is no longer practical for me to serve the Board. I wish everyone involved in Oxfordshire Cricket the very best for the future.”
Chris Clements, Chairman of the Board said:
“On behalf of all the Directors and everyone at Oxfordshire Cricket I would like to thank David for his significant contribution. David has made a huge impact on Oxfordshire Cricket, where he has spent his time working on improving the quality of our marketing and communications, to a point where it is currently best in class. We wish Dave and his family every success in the future.
The last two years has seen him work closely in mentoring our Marketing and Commercial Manager Nick Pinhol. With Nick Pinhol in place full time we have decided not to replace this role. We will spend time looking at the specialist needs of the five year strategy before we appoint the 5th Director. We will provide updates on this situation at the September and December Members meetings.
With immediate effect, Nick Pinhol as Board Secretary, will take over the Chair at the members meetings.”
