Oxfordshire Cricket are delighted to congratulate James Coles on becoming the 161st player to be awarded with his Sussex County Cricket County Cap. Becoming a capped player is an honour that goes to players at Sussex County Cricket Club (Sussex CCC) who have made significant contributions to the game, or to the club and a proud moment for James, his family and all of those who have invested in his development over the years.
James is known to many in Oxfordshire, having progressed into the professional game from our pathway via the partnership between Sussex CCC and Oxfordshire Cricket, later making his professional debut for Sussex CCC at the age of just 16 against Surrey in September 2020. James was presented with his County Cap by former Sussex CCC player, Chris Nash during the lunch break of the Vitality County Championship match between Sussex and Glamorgan at The 1st Central County Ground on 9th September 2024.
