Sunday saw the restart of Division 2 after the festive break with week 5 games of the Oxford Indoor League.
In the first game, Charlbury CC remained unbeaten and inflicted the first defeat of the winter on Sunningwell CC.
Charlbury batted first and scored 127 for 4 in their 10 overs with Louis Broad 36; Simon Smith 27no and Rob Collard 26ret.
In reply, Sunningwell lost wickets at regular intervals finishing on 107 all out in the final over with Dom Whinfrey 36 and 2 wickets for Alex Bush.
The second match saw Ascott-Under-Wychwood inflict a first defeat on Stanton Harcourt CC.
Stanton won the toss and put Ascott in to bat. Ascott reached 115 for 1 off their 10 overs with Graham Benfield 28ret; Sam Barnes 25ret and Alex Vaughan 18no.
In reply, Stanton lost wickets at regular intervals being bowled out for 70 in the 7th over with Ryan Wastie scoring 29. Wickets for Alex Vaughan and Rowan Moss plus 4 run outs in an excellent fielding display by Ascott.
The third match saw Eynsham CC beat Bartlemas CC.
Eynsham won the toss and batted first reaching 111 for 3 in their 10 overs with Andy Bain 28ret and James Talbot 22no.
In reply, Bartlemas were all out for 101 in the final over with Rohit 28 and Dan 26.
The final game of the day saw Deddington CC secure their first win of the winter against Faringdon CC.
Deddington lost the toss and were asked to bat first reaching 94 for 5 in their 10 overs with Matt Carpenter 52no and F Lou taking 3 wickets for Faringdon.
In reply, Faringdon were all out for 91 in the final over with Felix Batchelor 25.
With only 2 weeks of the season to go, the 2 promotion places remain up for grabs.
