The Junior Club Season has now started as well as the Youth Competitions!!
The first games were played on Sunday in the U11 competitions with both the U13s and U15s also now underway. A summary of the results registered so far on PlayCricket is below – if you require any support entering results from contact Paul Short.
U11 League
– Banbury beat Cropredy by 23 runs
– Charlbury beat Oxford Downs by 8 wickets
– Tiddington beat Aston Rowant by 10 wickets with excellent contributions from both opening batsmen Sam Allen and Henry Saunders
– Oxford beat Bicester & North Oxford by 31 runs with Charlie Esiri retiring on 25 and two wickets apiece for Joe Joyce and Arthur Stewart
– Horspath beat Wolvercote by 7 wickets with Sophia Pavlidies 3 for 2, Rabiya Dogar 2 for 0 and Zach Rayner 2 for 0 and 20 retired
– Goring on Thames beat Warborough & Shillingford by 76 runs with both George Logan and Jack Walsh retiring on 28 and 25 respectively
– Abingdon Vale beat Cumnor by 20 runs
– Didcot beat Faringdon & District by 61 runs with both George Mercer and Jack Townsend retiring and Abhiram Bhogathi with figures of 2-1-2-1
U11 Super 8 Hardball
– Kingston Bagpuize beat Sunningwell by 32 runs
– Oxford Blue beat Abingdon Vale by 107 runs
– Thame Town beat Tiddington by 27 runs
U11 Super 8 Softball
– Freeland beat Banbury by 12 runs. A great game played by two very young teams, a nerve racking last two overs which were bowled brilliantly by Thomas and Freddie for Banbury, but stoutly defended by Maia and Kiera to steer Freeland to victory
– Witney Mills beat Kidlington by 25 runs
U13 League
– Abingdon Vale beat Didcot by 9 wickets with Karthik Ramsundhar retiring on 31 and 3 wickets for Josh Butler
– Challow & Childrey beat Brightwell cum Sotwell by 8 wickets with Murray Gray scoring 29 and 2 wickets each for Amelia Richardson and Tom Saunders
– East & West Hendred beat Steventon by 3 wickets with Barney Bosley scoring 28no and 3 wickets supported by Isaac Kershaw and Faith Merry with a further 3 and 2 wicket hauls respectively. Iestyn Keymer retired on 31 for Steventon
– Tiddington beat Aston Rowant by 11 runs with Wilf Edwards retiring on 31 for Tiddington and Finley Little also retiring on 31 for Rowant
– Wolvercote beat Horspath by 28 runs with Ben Harkness and Danny Robinson retiring for Wolvercote
U13 Ron Maudsley Cup
– Kidmore End beat Cumnor by 8 wickets
U13 Gauntlet Goblet
– Purley on Thames beat Kingston Bagpuize by 12 runs with Rahul Thomas 17 & 1-16; Max Wood 1-9 and for Kingston Archie Ricks 16 & 1-18; Josh Antoniou 6 & 1-6
– Oxford beat Tiddington by 9 runs with Luke Young scoring 18 and 4 wickets for William Clarke
U15 League
– Abingdon Vale beat Cumnor by 85 runs
– Didcot beat Steventon by 185 runs with Jacob Townsend, Freddie Deans and George Coombs all retiring and Alex Knight with figures of 4-2-7-3
– Kingston Bagpuize beat Steventon by 6 wickets with Angus Barclay-Watt 33no, Jasper Furniss 2-10-3, Felicity R-Welsh 2-14-2 for Kingston, and Isaac 26, Samanyu 24 for Oxford
