Summary of Oxfordshire Cricket Activities
The purpose of this update is to provide you with a summary in relation to all Oxfordshire Cricket activities.
All Stars Cricket
All Stars Cricket will be returning to centres across Oxfordshire this summer. Cricket clubs who had initially signed up to be a centre earlier in the year have the choice to whether they will be able to run a programme. The latest guidance for All Stars Cricket can be found at: –
Activator Training – Oxfordshire Cricket will be running on activator training course on Monday 27th July, 6.30pm – 8pm at Bicester and North Oxford Cricket Club. This will be for new centres and lead activators as there are very limited spaces. If you have enough lead activators to run sessions at your club please do not send new volunteers on the course this year. Please contact Zoe Pugh, [email protected], with full names, contact number and email address of the activators you wish to send on the course.
Dynamos Cricket
With the restrictions caused by COVID19, the ECB are unable to launch a brand new programme, provide Money Can’t Buy Opportunities and deliver a high-quality experience with fully trained activators this summer. Being a new offering, it was our intention to provide clubs and activators with the necessary new training to deliver Dynamos Cricket in March and April this year, but unfortunately, the ongoing restrictions have meant we were unable to do this so are unable to launch as we had hoped.
Youth Competitions
With the release of the ECB Return of Recreational Cricket Guidance, Oxfordshire Cricket are urgently looking at three options to provide U11, U13 and U15 youth cricket this summer.
Paul Short has sent out a short survey to clubs to allow us to provide the right offer and support for these age groups. We would like to start any competitions week commencing 27th July so if you haven’t already please can you fill out the surveys ASAP.
