With the government moving to step 2 of the roadmap on 12th April and updated ECB guidance, we would like to take the opportunity ahead of this weekend to remind clubs of the headline changes. Full and up to date ECB guidance can be found at ECB Covid-19, including infographics and FAQ’s.
Spectators
Spectators are not permitted under Step 2. Parents/guardians or carers can be present in a safeguarding capacity or for the care of someone with disabilities but must remain socially distanced at all times
Clubs are not responsible for controlling who views cricket in public open spaces or for people on public footpaths, however they should not promote or encourage spectator attendance
Hospitality
As part of Step 2 outdoor hospitality is permitted. All participants must follow Government guidance on hospitality settings. People using hospitality facilities must adhere to legal gathering limits and wider government guidance.
Clubs must clearly define their hospitality space and provide table service
Outdoor hospitality and outdoor organised activity are permissible at the same time, subject to compliance with relevant Government guidance.
Changing Rooms
Changing rooms must remain closed except for disabled persons and emergency requirements.
Travel
Car sharing is not permitted with someone from outside your household or your support bubble.
