Oxfordshire Cricket is committed to making cricket a game for everyone in our county. As such, we are encouraging people to complete the Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket (ICEC) survey.
The ICEC has been set up by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as an entirely independent body to examine diversity, inclusion and equity in cricket at all levels and in all roles.
The ICEC’s survey invites the public to share their perceptions and experiences of discrimination and inclusion in cricket and is open for anyone to complete.
The survey will assist the ICEC in examining discrimination in the game and identifying opportunities to tackle the problems. A report is set to be published in summer 2022 that will also identify good practice in the game that can be learnt from, shared, and improved.
The survey is completely anonymous and can be completed with anyone involved currently or in the past with cricket, whether a recreational player or a professional, volunteer, employee, coach, umpire, parent or a fan and regardless of their gender, race or social class.
It is clear that cricket needs to address inequalities that are present in the game, and this is an important step in making that possible.
The ICEC’s online survey is available here.
