Oxfordshire Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Arthurs to the role of Foundation Pathway Manager.
Sam Arthurs has worked for Oxfordshire Cricket for over five years and will be known by many for his role within our Pathway and for his contribution to other performance and participation programmes. Sam will transition from his current role as Pathway Cricket Coach into the position of Foundation Pathway Manager from Monday 18th October 2021.
In the role of Foundation Pathway Manager, Sam will work closely with the Performance Director to deliver a sustainable and high-performing talent development system and play a leading role in the day-to-day management and delivery of our Foundation Pathway for girls and boys between the ages of 8 and 13.
To support the development journey of players across the foundation age groups, Sam will lead and grow our breadth of supplementary programmes, including the Oxfordshire Bulls, Player Development Workshops and transition programmes and forge an integrated link with the Participation and Growth team, local schools and clubs.

The creation of the Foundation Pathway Manager role is an exciting progression that will enable us to better support the long-term development of girls and boys aged between 8 and 13, our parents or guardians of those players and the clubs or schools in which they are connected to. The introduction of the role will expand our capability to deliver our talent development programmes across these age groups and, to enable us to pursue the growth of our supplementary programmes that provide a range of players within Oxfordshire access to coaching and additional support.
Sam has contributed to the success of our pathway over several years and he now has the opportunity to make an even greater impact in the position of Foundation Pathway Manager – I wish him every success in the role and look forward to working with him in the future.”
